How Do I Set Approval Workflows for Purchases

Sumung does not have a configurable multi-step approval workflow for bills - approving a bill is a single action ("Save and Approve") taken by whoever has…

Steps

  1. Create the bill as a Draft so it can be reviewed before anything is finalized.
  2. Have the appropriate team member review the Supplier, line items, and totals.
  3. Once reviewed, that person clicks "Save and Approve" to finalize the bill.
  4. Control who can perform this step using your account's user roles and permissions, set up under Settings.

Good to Know

If you need a formal multi-person sign-off process, manage it outside Sumung (e.g. via your own review checklist) before someone with bill-editing access approves it in the system.
