What File Formats Are Supported for Bank Statement Uploads in Sumung

The Import Bank Statement dialog accepts CSV, Excel, and PDF files, though they aren't equally reliable for every type of statement.

Steps

  1. CSV and Excel are recommended for the best, most consistent results.
  2. PDF is supported but limited - especially for scanned or printed PDFs, where data extraction is less reliable.
  3. Whatever format you use, the file needs Date, Description, and Amount columns (or separate Credit/Debit columns).
