Steps

The main safeguards are:

  • Automatic matching against existing bills, invoices, and contacts when a statement line comes in.
  • Auto Rules that consistently apply the same category/contact to recurring transactions.
  • The status pills (Needs Attention/Suggested/Escalated/Completed) that flag anything uncertain for your review rather than guessing silently.
  • Manual review on the Review Transactions tab, where you confirm or correct each line before it's treated as reconciled.

Good to Know

Reconciliation compares your recorded transactions against statement lines. Nothing is treated as final until you've confirmed it, which is what keeps the System Balance trustworthy.
