What Statuses Are Available for Journal Entries

Journal entries have two statuses: Draft and Posted. A new entry starts as Draft when saved with "Save as Draft." It becomes Posted when saved with "Save and…

Steps

  1. A new entry starts as Draft when saved with "Save as Draft."
  2. It becomes Posted when saved with "Save and Post," or when "Post" is used from the row actions menu.
  3. A Posted entry can be reverted to Draft using "Unpost."

Good to Know

There is no "Approved" or "Sent" status for journal entries - those terms apply to bills and invoices instead.
